As I meet with neighbors and business owners, and even patrons and folks that shop and use Palmer commercial and city services, the biggest complaint I hear is some of our local policymakers put special interests, and often personal interest, over the pursuit of efficient, responsive stewardship over our municipal operations.
City services and staff matter; so does an open, unhindered commerce sector. As a businesswoman and executive who's owned her own business and led departments in both the insurance and healthcare industries, I get it. I recognize performance, transparency, and bottom lines are inextricably linked. I also listen to perspectives and opinions; I work diligently to learn and improve. Your next city council member should have these skills sets - and that's why I am committed to helping grow Palmer.

Palmer is the backbone of our state.
I'm Alaskan. I grew up here and chose to raise a family and retire here (someday in the distant future) because our state and its spirit are part of who I am. The City of Palmer is a pioneer community.
We're the old and the young Alaskans. We're the farmers, and the craftspersons, and the home of the Alaska State Fair. We're the spot on the Alaskan map that can boast of amazing utilities like MTA and MEA, and a cooperative attitude working with our Borough sister cities Wasilla and Houston, and urban cousin Anchorage, so unity and solidarity can often be achieved. And we're also fiercely independent and dedicated to preserving Palmer's rich history and agriculture sentiment.
It's a totality of uniqueness and crisp new ideas that make us remarkable. I couldn't think of a better place within to live, work, recreate, hunt, fish, explore, enjoy life's blessings - or represent as a council member.

RESPONSIBILITY
Our city must be more fiscally responsible. Families and businesses are feeling the pain through taxes, which is why I plan to make improved services and efficiencies a priority.
ACCOUNTABILITY
It’s time to streamline operations and cut unnecessary city bureaucracy. A businessperson’s mindset is what can make this happen.
ECONOMIC GROWTH
Councilmembers can do more than just debate public policies! We can foster and encourage action, like promoting new businesses and supporting existing entrepreneurs. Partnering with our agriculture sector and other Mat-Su communities is an example.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Police matter! A top priority is to ensure the public is safe and protected, and our first responders and law enforcement personnel are respected and supported.
