PAM'S STORY

MEET PAM

I love our hometown and have fond memories of attending school here, building lifelong friendships, celebrating community, and raising a family. My children are young entrepreneurs and establishing their businesses right here in the Valley, too - like me. We believe in Palmer. As a business executive I managed a team at the largest health insurance carrier in the state. Working closely with small and large group employers to problem solve and implement solutions for them to care for their employees. I understand how economic impacts can cripple a business and regulatory burdens can stifle their success. My time is now spent in healthcare with the most creative and advanced solutions to help care for all Alaskans.

As a constitutional conservative, I am pro-life, pro-gun, I believe in election integrity and put the people first. I respect the right of fellow Palmer residents to have opinions - and I listen.

People with passion can make the impossible happen. Colleagues who have worked with me will tell you, Pam gets things done. My goal is to improve our city and earn your trust.

I respectfully ask for your vote on October 5th.

Pamela Melin

FOR PALMER CITY COUNCIL

A better Palmer is possible

We must focus on making Palmer the most efficiently run, financially independent city that we know it can be and that our community deserves. If we focus on that, everything else will fall into place.

Fortunately, I am a business executive who understands bottom lines and payrolls. I am a problem-solver and consensus-builder. Capable of tough conversations and able to say no. I’m not a fan of burdensome restrictions on businesses, employees, and homeowners. With over 19 years of experience in business development, market expansion, and relationship management, and also as a member of the City of Palmer’s Planning & Zoning Commission, I’ll hit the ground running as your next Palmer City Councilmember without a learning curve.

Trust in our government can only be restored when we listen to and show the people we serve our passion to implement their vision to be the best city to live work and play.

Let’s get busy.

When your community speaks, you listen

Neighbors and community members have encouraged me to run for City Council because they believe I can make a difference. I agree!

I love our hometown and have fond memories of attending school here, building lifelong friendships, celebrating community, and raising a family. My children are young entrepreneurs and establishing their businesses right here in the Valley, too - like me.

We believe in Palmer.
